At 1 a.m. on December 11, 2013, residents in Kiev, Ukraine were suddenly awakened from their sleep by a loud pealing of church bells.
It was the first time the bells at St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery had been rung for an emergency since the year 1240 when the city was being sacked by a Mongol horde.
The bells rang incessantly for four hours.
The reason? Protestors in the town square needed to summon citizen reinforcements to repel police and government forces intent on removing them from their position.
This was the culmination of months of protests from local citizens who were chafing under the weight of a corrupt government.
The night turned out to be an incredible turning point in the months-long uprising, and the takeaways for your business are all over the place.
This is why I devoted this next video to telling this riveting story.
Watch right now here:
I'm not telling you this story to merely indulge my deep love of history. It turns out there are real, practical lessons to be had here that could transform your business and take it to the next level.
Well, much like the pealing bells of St. Michael's, today’s lesson sounds an alarm for you to come to grips with something even more difficult to pull off than crafting the optimal strategy or creating the perfect design.
What is it?
It's your execution. Putting it all together.
There's an old saying I heard often in the army:
"Amateurs talk strategy; professionals talk logistics."
Exactly. You need to be a professional.
This holds true whether you're trying to grow your business to the high six-figure mark, to the 7-figure threshold, or whether you want to take your business from $1 million to $10 million.
Now let me be clear: I'm not dismissing the importance of strategy one bit!
Strategy and design are critical, no question. But it's executing on all the various pieces that's the most difficult part of all.
Succeeding in business is not easy. Run away from anyone who tells you otherwise.
Just like building a country is not easy and takes real sacrifice, taking the time to execute your strategy and design takes hard work.
It's all relative of course. As a war veteran who's seen a thing or two, I can tell you that the worst day in business is better than the best day I ever had in Iraq.
And that's why I devote the last few minutes of today's video to the story of one Brad Furber, a mentor and client I'm proud to call a good friend.
Brad did the hard thing…
Already successful in other ventures, he showed the patience and perseverance necessary to build a new vision from the ground up ... the right way.
And today, Brad has a scalable, sustainable digital business powered by a story-based funnel that works for him without the direct effort that was required from him at the outset.
You now have the same opportunity as Brad and our other successful story funnel clients. In just a few days, you'll be given the chance to engage in a process that gives you the tools you need to:
